Exterior Touches

The exterior of your home is the first impression that both buyers and their agents have when viewing your home. If the exterior of your home is appealing, it will encourage buyers to venture inside!
  • Siding: Repair or replace any damaged siding, then clean the surface, touch-up or repaint.
  • Roof: Power wash if your roof is in good condition but looks dirty or mossy. Replace shingles if the roof has less than a few years of useful life left.
  • Windows: Remove dirty or broken screens and remove anything that obstructs views.
  • Yard: A well kept lawn and seasonal flowers will work wonders for attracting the eye and making your house a home.

Interior Touches

Out of all the rooms in the house, it is important to pay special attention to the kitchen and bathrooms. It is essential for the rooms to be thoroughly clean and odor free, giving amodern, fresh, and bright feeling. Sometimes all it takes is a fresh coat of paint. Always look at your home from a Buyer's point of view.
  • Declutter: Remove excess furniture to make the rooms seem as spacious as possible. Make sure all dressers, tables, countertops, and cosets are free of clutter. Put away all valuable or prized possessions.
  • Sparkly Clean from Top to Bottom: Keep the sink clean and clear of any dirty dishes, vacuum or clean carpets, an be cautious of pet odor and pet hair.
  • Small Repairs Make a Big Difference: Fix loose knobs or door handles, dripping faucets or running toilets. Replace lightbulbs and repair cracks dents, or anything else that might indicate a mainenance problem.
  • Let the Sun Shine: Open any blinds or curtains for extra lighting!

  • Appeal to All the Senses: Leave your home at a comfortable temperature. Make sure rooms have been aired out. Do not use too many candles/room sprays as not everyone shares your same tastes.
  • Please Leave: Try to be away during showings. Buyers may feel intruded upon or distracted from taking in what your home offers. If there are extra details that you want emphasized about your home, let me know and I will make sure the knowledge is shared!
