I am trying to be positive and look on the bright side of all this rain but I'm having a hard time! Can you believe that May was the third wettest ever recorded! I am ready for some sunshine.
In my quest to think about the positive benefits of the rain, I remember seeing two different news segments about rain barrels. I didn't fully understand the concept of the barrels and haven't seen them when I'm out showing homes but think it is a trend that is catching on as I keep hearing about them. So I did some research and found out some facts...people are harvesting rain water from their roofs and using it to water their lawn and gardens, the cost to set one up can be as cheap as $35 and as expensive as $600, you could potentially save $35 a month on your water bill during the summer months, all that and you're being environmentally conscious by conserving water!
